MINUTES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD AT THE SMALL HALL, OLD SCHOOL, MILL HILL, NETTLEHAM
ON THURSDAY 19 AUGUST 2021, AT 5PM.
Present: Councillors: Cllr J Evans (Chairman), Cllr P McNeill, Cllr D Newsam, Cllr J Radcliffe, Cllr Mrs White.
Also in attendance: Mrs D Locker (Clerk/RFO),
Councillors not present: Cllr P Jenkinson, Cllr A Henderson, Cllr Mrs J Clayton, Cllr J Barrett, Cllr C Higham, Cllr R Porter, Cllr M Homer.
The meeting commenced at 5pm
116/21. To resolve to receive apologies and accept reasons for absence received by the Clerk, prior to the meeting.
Apologies were received from: Cllr P Jenkinson, Cllr A Henderson, Cllr Mrs J Clayton, Cllr J Barrett, Cllr C Higham, Cllr R Porter, Cllr M Homer.
It was proposed, seconded and RESOLVED: To accept the apologies and the reason for absence. Unanimous
117/21. Disclosure of interests in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any requests for dispensations.
None received.
118/21. To agree an option for provision of a works vehicle on expiry of the current contracted lease period
Council heard that the current three-year lease for the works vehicle expires during October 2021. During enquiries made with a range of lease companies about the options available for a replacement vehicle (including electric vans), it became evident that there is a world-wide shortage of some vehicle parts. Consequently, there are very few new vans available for lease, in the near future. In response, quotations for alternative options were also sought to include: to buy the current vehicle outright at the end of the term and to extend the existing lease period. Following discussion, it was proposed, seconded and RESOLVED: That Council extend the lease for the existing works vehicle for a further 12 months. Unanimous

The next meeting of the Parish Council has been arranged for Tuesday 14 September 2021, commencing at 7.30pm at the Small Hall, Mill Hill, Nettleham
